Diamond select Marvel Select Dr. Stranger
So Not a good start to the new year with a Flue and a review of a figure that was disappointing. Marvel Select Dr Strange the comic version has been sitting around my house for about two years and I decided to open him up for my first blog of 2018 and I was not expecting a 10/10 figure since its an older Select but this one is not good.
I like to be positive about figures because when I buy a Select or Play Arts Kai or Mafex or anything else I understand what I'm getting and when I buy a Select I understand the articulation is not on the level of legends which I hope some day it will be ( FOR THE LOVE OF GOD GIVE US DOUBLE JOINTED ELBOWS DIAMOND!!!)
but this figure is not worth your money.
Let me start by saying Marvel Select is probable my favorite line but the articulation is really bad on this one and the figure has a hard time standing up even on its stand, the stand itself is ok but not a patch on the one from Dr Strange the movie version, the accessories are not great the chain is ok but the spell effect is terrible its really hard to get it to stay on his hand.
Now the paint is good and the face sculpt is nice but if your looking to buy this one I would recommend a pass unless its very cheap.
Not the way I wanted to start the new year with figures but at least it can only go up from here 😏
