The Short and Sweet Review of S. H. Figuarts Street Fighter Ryu Bootleg
Ok this is a case of look but don't touch.
It looks great, sculpt is perfect but man oh man don't touch it when you have it posed. I took it out of the box and the legs just fell off, the joints don't fit right and the legs will fall off at a touch. I watched a video on YouTube telling me how to fix this and it seems simple until I used a little too much glue which meant one of the leg joints glued solid and I ended up breaking the joint but I have to say the video did help and I will link it down below . My problem was I put a little to much more glue than I needed into the joint and it went solid.
Also when I tried to change the hands on the figure one of the joints in the wrist broke because they are just super tight and I really should have warmed this figure up which I usually always do but I thought I could get away with it this time and I did not ,I would seriously recommend making sure that you warm up everything with hot water or a hair dryer when you want to change parts on this figure. Personlley I think hot water is better.

As you can see I did not change all the head sculpts simply because it was very hard and I was afraid I was going to break the neck peg. Now a lot of this is my fault I should have glued it right and warmed it up when I was changing hands and if I did this the figure would have been good to go.
I like bootlegs and 80% of them are fine this is in the 20% range but like I say it looks great and it has a nice range of movement when I guess it's all together and isn't falling apart or glued solid, maybe your one won't be the same as mine.

I've seen some on YouTube that are perfectly fine and this does not stop me getting the next one which will be Chun-Li. I'm looking forward to getting her they will be a nice set.
My only real gripe with this taking away joint problems is the stand for the flame effect is to small it could have been just an inch bigger but that's a small gripe.
I usually rate figures 1 to 5 but this figure has made me throw that system away because even with the problems I like the figure and that makes it hard to rate it's a really nice figure and for the price I'm happy. I don't regret getting it and if your thinking of getting it I'd say go ahead and buy.
Bootlegs are cheaper then the real thing so if once in a while you have problems you just need to understand you can not expect it to have he same level of quality as the real thing so if you have to do some DIY on it well what harm.
